Sophisticated Legs Limited is the manufacturing and supply company behind Gio Stockings and Lingerie, a recognised global brand. As the last British manufacturer of Fully Fashioned 1940s stockings, we specialise in heritage hosiery while also producing a broad range of modern tights, lingerie, and accessories. Our production is based in Derbyshire (Loscoe and Alfreton), serving both B2B/Wholesale clients and direct consumers via our e-commerce platform, www.giostockings.com.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Digital Content & SEO Specialist Intern for a high-impact, short-term placement. This is an exceptional chance for a student to rapidly apply their academic knowledge to enhance the performance and discoverability of a well-established e-commerce site.
Length of employment would be around 1 month possibly 1-5 months. This is estimated at around 2/3 hours a day. Contact time with the company would be once weekly or more often if required. This can be discussed during the application process.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
Your primary focus will be on the core mechanics of our e-commerce performance and content integrity:
- SEO Optimisation: Systematically edit and enhance SEO metadata (titles, descriptions, slugs) for existing product pages using the Yoast SEO plugin (or a similar tool) within the WooCommerce/WordPress environment to improve search engine rankings.
- E-commerce Product Creation: Accurately and efficiently create new product pages within WooCommerce, ensuring all necessary product attributes, variations, categorisation, and imagery are correctly applied and configured for an optimal user experience and inventory management.
- Content & Structure Review: Conduct a critical review of the current website structure and product content presentation, identifying and implementing immediate improvements to content quality and SEO best practices.
