You will also assist in gathering user feedback, developing guidance materials, and supporting the rollout of digital tools and initiatives aligned to institutional priorities. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in digital learning, user experience, and emerging technologies such as AI-supported learning tools.
This 12-month role is designed as a full-time developmental role, suitable for a recent University of Derby graduate or current student on a placement year. It provides structured, hands-on experience in digital learning delivery and support, with increasing autonomy and responsibility over the course of the contract.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the Digital Learning Baseline Assurance process by reviewing digital learning materials, checking for consistency, accessibility, and compliance with institutional standards.
2. Test the student user experience across desktop and mobile, providing clear feedback on navigation, layout, functionality, and overall usability.
3. Evaluate and document the Digital Learning Ecosystem mobile experience, including Blackboard, apps, and integrated tools, identifying improvements and reporting issues.
4. Assist with the development and testing of AI Agents, including prompt creation, workflow design, and quality assurance.
5. Design, review, and update online guides for staff and students to support digital learning tools, ensuring they are clear, accessible, and user-friendly.
6. Support academic staff with their digital teaching practice, offering guidance on using learning technologies effectively and consistently.
7. Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably requested by the Digital Learning and Online Content management team.

· Well-developed digital skills and strong digital literacy.
