Please note: This role is open to first‑ and second‑year UoD students only.
Laboratory Assistants are required to help with duties as instructed by the Senior Technician in the Superlab including the set and organisation of the facility from June 2025.
There after main duties and tasks would be as follows:
- Filling up tip boxes
- Cleaning surface and tablets in class II
- Filling Ependorph jars
- Helping with washing, setting up and clearing away practical’s
- Tidying away practical trolleys
- Stocking up shelves/ cupboards
- Remaking reagents
- Emptying recycling and clinical waste bin
Candidate and Skills Requirements:
- Punctual
- Trustworthy.
- Please note that the role involves periods of standing, and you will need to be comfortable standing for up to 1–2 hours at a time.
- Open only to first‑ and second‑year UoD students, ideally studying a science‑related degree, with hours split to fit around studies.
Rate of Pay : £13.99 per hour
Working Hours: up to 20 hrs per week (Sessions of 3/4hrs) total or split between two candidates. February 2026-December 2026
Length of Contract (must be no longer than 12 months): 10 months
Proposed Start Date (dependent on Right to Work check completion): 23rd February 2026
Proposed End Date of Role: December 21st 2026
